Shift Handoff

Orders

  • Have all orders scheduled for my shift been completed and labeled with the customer's name?
  • Are there any orders for next shift? (Complete these in advance)

Deliveries

  • Were there any deliveries? (Check the dock, backroom, near bathrooms, or front door)
  • What's currently thawing and can any of it be brought in? (If it flexes or breaks apart, it's ready)

Cooler

  • Is the cooler organized? (No empty boxes, nothing stack directly on the floor, no carts)
  • Have you noticed anything in the cooler starting to go stale? (Cut it or report it)
  • Can anything on the rack go out?
  • Is anything on the rack not moving? (Put it out or let someone know)

Sales (Changes on Wednesdays)

  • Have you talked about fast-moving items, out-of-stock items, and anything else worth noting
  • Were sale signs put up?
  • Does anything need repriced?

The Case

  • Are there any trays on display older than 5 days?
